Reporting to Council, the CAO is responsible for the management of all day-to-day operations of the Town and for the provision of quality services and programs to stakeholders in accordance with statutory requirements and guidelines, municipal by-laws and policies and doing so within an approved budget. The CAO will provide key direction in strategic planning and ensure the Town’s staff are committed to providing a high level of public service.
Council will be looking for a high degree of collaboration, innovation, and creativity from an exceptional and experienced executive level manager.
The ideal candidate must possess a University Degree or Master’s Degree in relevant discipline such as Business Administration or Commerce, Public Administration or Professional Designation such as Professional Engineer or Chartered Professional Accountant.
The ideal candidate must also have a reputation for building and leading strong teams, and empowering staff in the delivery of services. They will also possess exceptional relationship building skills to quickly establish credibility and trust to continually improve the experience of the taxpayers and the staff.
